About PanoPaper

Hi, I'm Thomas Gumz, and I make PanoPaper. I'm a retired software engineer and former IBMer gone solo-dev, and these days I'm enjoying life living and traveling on my boat.

Why I built it

I have a bunch of cameras on the boat, mostly UniFi gear. When I work on my Mac, I don't want to have to open up another app or browser tab to look at my cameras, but instead have them on the desktop permanently, faded and blended in the background for me to still see what's going on without it being distracting. And PanoPaper lets you do exactly that.

You know what's better than a nice wallpaper? A LIVE wallpaper!

PanoPaper is a native, highly optimized and 'Mac-assed' Mac app, and the video goes straight from your NVR or cameras to your Mac. It never leaves your network.
