Privacy Policy

PanoPaper shows live video from your own security cameras. We built it so that video stays yours: we never receive it, and we collect nothing about you.

Your cameras stay between your NVR and your Mac

PanoPaper connects only to the UniFi Protect NVRs you add. Their video and sound travel directly from the NVR to your Mac over your own network. Nothing passes through us, and no cloud service is involved.

The NVRs you add, the cameras you choose and your settings are stored on your Mac. NVR passwords are stored in the macOS Keychain.

Updates

The edition downloaded from this website checks for a new version once a day, unless you turn that off. It fetches a small list of versions from panopaper.app and sends nothing about you or your Mac. Update downloads come from GitHub, where the releases are published.

Like any web server, panopaper.app (hosted by Google Firebase) and GitHub see the IP address a request comes from, and may keep it in their logs for a while under their own privacy policies. We do not use it to identify or track you.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, trackers or third-party scripts.

What we never do

• No analytics or tracking, in the app or on the website.
• No advertising, and no ad networks.
• No account with us - there is nothing to sign up for.
• No selling or sharing of personal data.

Children

PanoPaper is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
