Reddit App Terms and Privacy
Last updated October 16, 2026
PanoPaper Releases (the Reddit app panopaper-releases) announces each new version of PanoPaper in r/panopaper, the PanoPaper community on Reddit. It is made and run by Thomas Gumz, the developer of PanoPaper. This page holds its terms of use and its privacy policy.
Terms of use
Once an hour, the app reads the newest public release of PanoPaper from GitHub. When there is a new one, it posts the release notes to r/panopaper from its own Reddit account. The community's moderators can also start that check by hand. It takes no other actions on Reddit.
The app is made for r/panopaper alone. Installing or using it anywhere else is not supported.
By using Reddit, including the posts this app makes, you agree to Reddit's own terms. These terms add to them and do not replace them.
The app is provided free of charge and as is, without warranties of any kind. It may post late, post nothing, or stop working, and it may be changed or taken down at any time. To the extent the law allows, its maker is not liable for any damage arising from its use.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when they last changed.
Privacy policy
The app collects no personal data. It does not read posts, comments, messages or profiles, and it keeps nothing about any Reddit user.
It reads only public information: PanoPaper's newest release on GitHub (its version and release notes), and r/panopaper's list of post flairs, to label its posts "Release". Its requests to GitHub come from Reddit's servers and carry nothing about you.
All it stores, in the app's own storage on Reddit's platform, is the version it last posted and a marker GitHub uses to say nothing has changed. Neither says anything about anyone.
Its posts are public on Reddit, like any other post, and are made from the app's account, not yours. Reddit itself handles your data under its own privacy policy.
The app uses no tracking, no analytics and no advertising, and shares no data with anyone.
For PanoPaper itself and this website, see PanoPaper's privacy policy.
